I am a specialist in cultural heritage and how it provides sustainable development opportunities.
I have experience in: strategic and financial planning for cultural heritage businesses, particularly community-led enterprises; methods for measuring and communicating the economic impacts of cultural heritage; cultural economics and its application to archaeology; and heritage tourism.
I am the Senior Director of Monitoring and Evaluation at World Monuments Fund. I have worked on projects globally, particularly in Latin America and the Middle East. I was Sustainable Preservation Initiative’s Director of Projects for five years, and was subsequently a consultant on numerous state and privately funded projects. I have a PhD in archaeology and economic development, and have published and taught on the subject widely. I also have been an active member of a number of archaeological fieldwork teams, and have created and led tours for cultural heritage tour operators. I live in Los Angeles.
